MARK SMOLIN'S DREAM SUBMISSIONS
    (page four)

Terrorists:

-I was on the CU campus, and I remember walking around near Guggenheim.  I walked into a classroom and as soon as I got to the front I realized it was the wrong class.  It was a pretty small class, 30-40 people.  I apologized and the teacher said something jokingly like "join us!"  I walked back towards the door and sat in the back row next to this blonde girl, a few people away from the door.  The professor asked some question about what a certain word meant.  I forget the word.  Nobody raised their hand, so I did.  The professor said something like "that's not entirely right" and a few people turned around and glared at me.  I turned to the blonde girl and whispered, "wow, looks like there's a lot of friendly people in here."

-I was on a plane with a class on our way to some sort of field trip, forget where we were going.  The plane was lining up on a runway and I could see out the front (cloudy).  The runway we chose looked pretty short and right in front was a long hill, not very high, but with a row of houses.  One little red house was directly in front of us.  I thought about what a crappy place that would be to live, and if the people there were ever worried about a plane crashing into their house.  We picked up speed really quick for the takeoff, the pilot seemed to pull up too quickly and the nose went back down toward the little red house.  The pilot tried to pull up but it was too late.  We leveled off, but went in through the front of the house.  It was like a movie, with metal grinding and sliding, and fires starting.  I was worried that something would explode, so I was hurrying everyone off the plane.  I don't remember getting off, but suddenly I was off and immediately we knew that terrorists had already claimed responsibility, that they had sabotaged part of the plane.
